In 1969, an offer came to hell.
Quit your job, and I’ll give you $100 a month for the rest of your life.
The offer came from John Martin, publisher and founder of Black Sparrow Press. Charles Bukowski — still an unknown writer — had spent his last decade at a “soul-wrenching” post office job.
A lot of people are good at what they do. Some are even elite. A select few are completely unstoppable.
Those who are unstoppable are in their own world. They don’t compete with anyone but themselves. You never know what they will do — only that you will be forced to respond. Even though they don’t compete with you, they make you compete with them.
Are you unstoppable? By the end of this blog you will be.
We live in a society of sheep. People are sensitive to everything. A world where people need safe spaces because their feelings got hurt. If we don’t prefer something, we complain. People think life isn’t fair to only them. They put the blame on others instead of themselves. It’s in this world, one breed that stands tall. Lions will rise against the sheep.
Escape the stale confinement of wishing, waiting, wondering. Refresh your day with action.
Shake off the excuses and rationalizations, the second guesses, regrets and indecisiveness. Energize your life with action.
Not every action will bring the results you desire. Yet the more you take action, the more effective you become at achieving what you choose.
