Gaming’s next big sci-fi epic is coming very soon: developer BioWare has announced that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be launching in March. The role-playing game will be available in North America on March 21st, followed by Europe on the 23rd. Andromeda is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Originally slated to launch last yearAndromeda is the fourth main release in the series, and it kicks off a new storyline set six centuries after the events of the original trilogy, which culminated with Mass Effect 3 in 2012. The game was first revealed back at E3 in 2015. While things were relatively quiet after that reveal, over the past few months BioWare has provided several glimpses at the next Mass Effect adventure, showing off the various worlds you’ll be exploring as well as some of the things you’ll be doing out in space.

BioWare describes Andromeda as “the most ambitious Mass Effect game to date,” and it’s the first game in the series to debut on the current generation of consoles. In addition to telling a brand-new story, Andromeda also sees BioWare shift to a new game engine called Frostbite, the same technology used to power other EA-published titles like Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront. Its release will be followed by a new series of tie-in novels, starting with Nexus Uprising by Jason M. Hough and K.C. Alexander on March 28th.
